Food and drink! There's plenty in Comrie to get your taste buds going whether you want to stay in or eat out. Just a minute from Newcroft you'll find Hansen's Kitchen, a deli/cafe offering a mouth watering selection of food and drink plus wholesome take-away meals - this can be arranged for your first night. The popular Deil's Cauldron Restaurant and Wine Bar has the most fantastic food and atmosphere to match. The Royal hotel serves hearty bar meals and restaurant food and you can sit by the roaring fire in winter. There's also the Royal Bar, Ancaster Arms (a pop up bar with different themed evenings), Comrie Hotel for a drink and Cafe Comrie which is super for breakfast/lunch or a light bite. Will you be brave enough to try the deep fried Mars Bar at the Comrie Fish & Chip Shop?

On your bike! Comrie Croft is brilliant and caters for all cyclists - from beginner to elite. There are nearly 20kms of trails for you to ride, graded red, black and blue plus a bike skills and fun park. The Tea Garden is open in the finer weather and in the winter the Bonnie Mountain Winter Cafe serves hot drinks and bites to warm you up! You can rent mountain bikes or use Comrie Croft's dial-a-bike delivery service - bikes will be dropped off at the cottage for you. There's plenty of space for storing bikes in the garage as well as our own selection of kids and adult bikes that are free for you to use (including an Isla balance bike for the wee ones). The quiet country roads are ideal for cycling and there are plenty of off-road tracks for mountain biking too.
Spot the wildlife. Auchengarrich Wildlife Park, just on the outskirts of Comrie, sits in the Perthshire hills and is fun for all the family. Feed the animals, hold baby chicks, say hello to the tartan sheep and meerkats! Outdoor and indoor play areas will keep the kids entertained all day. There's a hillside cafe serving tasty food plus plenty of picnic/bbq spots - all with spectacular views.
Fancy a round of golf? Comrie Golf Club gives golfers a warm welcome. Juniors go free when playing with an adult and you can also hire clubs for free. This scenic 9 hole course has been described as a 'mini Kings Course' with it's breathtaking views over the Strathearn valley. Non golfers can still enjoy the views from the comfort of the clubhouse cafe, open to all. There is a set of kids golf clubs in Newcroft that can be used too!
Go fishing. The River Earn is one of the most prolific sea trout rivers in Scotland and is also home to large salmon. There are plenty of fishing spots. Comrie Angling Club and Lochlane and Laggan have more information and permits for the River Earn are available from Hansen's Kitchen.

The Glen Lednock Circular Walk, takes in the stunning Deil's Cauldron Waterfall with the optional added climb to the Melville Monument. Enjoy the panoramic views! There are many walking routes in and around Comrie to suit everyone.
